The best eTwinning projects at European level were awarded during the Prizes Ceremony that took place on 8 April, in Brussels. The main aim of the event is to reward the best eTwinning projects from the previous school year, and especially to congratulate the people behind them: the eTwinning teachers and pupils.
Anne Gilleran, Pedagogical Manager of eTwinning, presented the ceremony, which was held in the capital of Europe for the first time. The event counted with the presence of Jan Truszczyński, the DG of Education and Culture European Commission, Malika Benarabfrom the Education committee at the European Parliament and Isabelle Durant, MEP from Belgium. They all congratulated the winners personally and celebrated their success.
Two of the awarded projects were cordinated by Catalan teachers:
Photography as a pedagogical tool, Age 12-16. Maia Vilà, Francesca Manonelles and Maria Cano from Mataró were the teachers who developed the project.Gold rules of Good behaviour, in the special category of English as a second language, sponsored by British Council. Rosalyn kenedy gave us the award. Irena Glowinska from Poland and Fina Vendrell, from Sant Josep school, Navàs, Catalonia are the coordinators of the project.
A part from the ceremony many other activities were programmed for the participants such as the visit of the European Parliament which was great, visit some museums, European Quiz and Talent show in the evenings etc.
Eveyone encourgaed us to keep working for the Education of our countries. They focussed on the importance of collaboration, innovationa dn participation of so many countries.
